They walked parallel broken lines
and then fate crumpled the paper
They met and they touched
and scrawled love in broad strokes
For years and years
they swam in loving circles
and then he set the paper on fire
They walked parallel lines
He promised to meet
in an infinite time and space
She felt the neverness of it
and longed for the circles

if you look at two parallel lines close together, and zoom out a far enough distance, you might find that they were the circumferences of two circles all along, and its just that where they almost touch, in a suitable scale, that circles become straight lines..
Circles, when they eventually came,
were unfamiliar by their fame,
they longed for the unfamiliarity all the while,
But it proved disturbing after a mile.
Just tried to continue the poem:-)
Beautiful!
men and women....hmmm. Same thing different views
Makes me think of hot, college afternoons, when even walking around the city in the summer was .... love.
am living the same kinda lives these days...
He promised to meet
in an infinite time and space
She felt the neverness of it
and longed for the circles
Enjoyed these lines a lot...

Uncommonly beautiful...
"We're just two lost souls
swimming in a fish bowl,
year after year,
Running over the same old ground.
What have you found?
The same old fears."
