More gifts

If I allowed myself to make smileys on my blog I would have made a whole sentence with them but since I don't you'll just have to imagine me grinning ear to ear. Don't you just love 'Crazy little thing called love' by Queen? It's playing now and it's a fabulous morning! So I was absent from the blog yesterday because of all great reasons. First thing in the morning (I got to office at 9 am sharp!) I got a courier from my darling friend Shilpa and she sent me some lovely thoughtful gifts. I had to make a video of myself opening the presents and send it to her. She's like that don't ask! So I did that and sent it to her. There was a lovely book by Nicholas Sparks. He usually writes romances and I would have been very unlikely to pick up a book by him but I trust Shilpa's judgement and so far the book comes across as quite well written and interesting. Now David Archuletta (remember the sweet little boy who didn't win the American Idol a couple of years ago) is singing 'Crush'. I should've heard that song in school although I still kind of like it.

So coming back to the gifts. There was a book about how yoga can help improve a diabetic's life. A DVD of 'London Paris New York'. Shilpa swears by it so I'm guessing it should be good fun to watch. There was a lovely card and letter too so my day started beautifully yesterday. In the afternoon I went to Kaya Skin Clinic to write a review of one of their treatments. So I got a Gold facial which lasted one and a half hour. It was so amazingly relaxing that I fell asleep and am sure I was snoring for the last half hour. I've given them a 'glowing' review. They deserve it. Here's a picture of me looking way too much like Hannibal Lecter in my Gold mask. Now I have to download the picture from the phone to the computer. There should be a way of doing that that doesn't involve cables. There is! I emailed the picture from my phone to myself. I'm so smart even if I say so myself. Actually I look like a really fat Hannibal who seems to have fallen asleep. Laugh away!

So if you're done laughing may be I can move on. They actually gave me the Gold Mask and I'm supposed to keep it in the fridge for up to a month. It is immersed in a gold serum and I should put it on my face once every week for a glow. I'm sure I will forget. All in all it was a very relaxing and wonderful experience and may there be many more!

I went to Mirdiff City Centre after a long time and I loved what I saw. I think I'm going to go shopping tonight. Bring on the weekend baby!

I cant stop laughing while writing this cos ur way too cute and way too funny at the same time! Two things I will just have to say! One is that Shilpa wanted u to send a video or pics while opening the gift, only and ONLY because ur way too expressive and I love to see those expressions :) Why should I miss out on something so priceless especially if I contributed to it ;) ( Thats Ur 'Im so vain' rubbing off on me , lol!) And two is the fact that the author of the book is Cecilia Ahern and not Nicholas Sparks, LOL!!!!!! For a minute I also got confused as you have said it so confidently :) But thats U and thats why I love Booooo !!!! U guffaw also so cutely!!! And Im sure the golden facial mustve done wonders! Its so relaxing! Please remember to use it! I like the name Goldilocks! Maybe Bhawna and me can qualify as ur two two bears ;) All in all Im glad u had a lovely birdaaayyyyy and wishing for u many many such more lovely occasions in ur life , now and forever!

Yes I'm Goldilocks and you two are my huggable cuddly bears that have taken it as your personal mission to keep my happiness levels on the up! And I love you both so much for being absolutely the most fantastic friends a person can ask for. Really the universe picks and chooses my friends with a magnifying glass and only the best qualify!! Cheers you two!! Hugs and kisses :)

You know Shilpa, I'm very sure she added 'Cuddly' because she thinks we are fat with lots of cellulite. Well, it is partially true for me lol. But I get the msg. Thank you too Parul, and thank for you for getting me coffee that day without a straw, that just truly made my sipping experience better.
So much love flowing man, and its all to women, damn this. LOL.

Nice meeting U Bhawna after hearing all nice things about u from Parul! :) And not to worry about the cuddly part, cos our dear Parul qualifies for that bit too! ;) She is lucky that the universe has kept her so far away physically owse I wud be all over her (Punn not intended !!!) and thats only cos she is sooooo cuddly herself! And leme sum it up by just saying Im quite proud of what we have, that way people can have " more of us" ;) and havent u heard "Men like flesh, dogs like bones" ;) Where the men are is a BIG Q!!! LOL! And Lulu, I so agree with u! Ur so darn lucky man when it comes to ur frands!!! They surely are hand picked and u surely are blessed!!! :) :) And so are we ofcourse!! Bhawna wud agree! There, I even compensated for all the smileys u dint put!! He he haw haw!! :)

Hi Shilpa :)
Its so nice seeing girl friends be so close-knit even into their 30s. I know it sounds silly, but by the time one's into their mid-20's they're already so many falling-outs and politics, etc. Very few friends can have this strong a bond, so keep it up you guys :)

Oh nice things about me eh. Please enlighten me. Haha. Yea, she's told me nice and warm things about you too :)

Men are there, just like how women are there. But its the timing that gets things going :) Parul is quite used to my philosophical lectures that her ears could bleed anytime now.

:) These girls got to know each other when they were already in their thirties :) so I guess we knew a bit better by then and were also a bit wiser! And after having gone thru a fair bit in life U know what to keep and treasure and what or who is really worth it! And I'd really like to believe the last bit for my own sake! I know I have the faith, its just the patience which wears thin! And I do believe in 'timing'! I just wish sometimes we cud take it in our stride a bit better! :) Ok now Parul will think that her blog space is being used by the two two bears for discussing life's philopsophies :) ;) And Im glad Parul has someone like u there! Im just too far away to really be there for her all the time. SO its truly reassuring and heartening that she has people like u around! Keep up the good work Bhavnaa ( I hope I got the spelling rite this time :)

UknowMe said...

Aww you're the sweetest :) Yea u did get the spelling right, but that's alright :)
Well, more than me being there for her, she's here for me, so what can I say. I think she's a cool boss to have around, and as I even told her I prefer being bossed around by her rather than by anyone else.

Timing is important, so don't stress about anything. I'm sure when that time does come for you, it will be worth the wait, and then you'll back to these days and laugh :)

Thanks for your reassurance Bhavnaa!Im trying my best to imbibe that for good! Im sure Parul is a good boss cos she is a good soul who is very fair in all her doings! The last thing she can ever be is 'unreasonable', which bosses can be quite often :) So ur a lucky girl! Ok since Parul and me already had our MAS ( mutual admiration society) , we can either add u there or create another one for all three of us , lol! I just told Parul that u come across as a mature and evolved soul :)
