Extending yourself

In many ways you extend your arms
much further than they can reach
People extend their visas, houses and leave
I tend to extend myself

Numbers and extensions define
lives in cubicles
Subtle coloured chairs and brown desks
Life goes around the corners barely touching

It fleetingly divides itself into
complex and organised fractals
Life must inherently be contained not extended
Contained in blue jars of pickled memories

Interesting line. And a thoughtful few lines, the others proved to be. Little liners that make you think more than the lines themselves realise.
